Fred OJil has over 14 years of experience in the payments business, with a bias to consumer payment products including Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Prepaid Cards, Mobile Banking, Agent Banking and International Money Transfer.
At NBK Bank, Fred launched five co-brand card partnerships, a GP Prepaid Card, Mvisa, 3D Secure, Ecommerce, Relaunched Agent Banking and rolled out two International Money Transfer Schemes.
At Barclays, Fred introduced several product enhancements, including Loan on Phone and Lifestyle card enhancements to drive utilization and balance build.
At Chase, was responsible for launching card programs taking initiatives from business case through to process and procedure definition, to piloting and go to market e.g. Naivas Visa Prepaid Card.
At KCB was responsible for several card projects, including EMV Migration for KCB Kenya, certifying and rolling out Debit Cards and ATM acquiring for the six East African subsidiaries and roll out of the Nakumatt Global Multicurrency Prepaid Card.
Most recent projects have included Umoja Switch Network (Tanzania), Euromonitor International and Premier Bank (Somalia).
