Russell is a seasoned payments industry professional with more than 30 years experience in Card Issuer Processing and Merchant Acquiring. 

Russell built and led Fiserv’s Direct UK Acquiring Business, establishing an Enterprise and SME client base of over 100k merchants across multiple retail sectors.

In additional to exceptional P&L management experience, Russell has personally driven a number of major business innovation and change programs including:

• Establishment of distribution channels for ISO, Partner, Payment Facilitators and direct sales

• Digitalisation process for merchant onboarding accelerating client activation and delivery

• Operational improvement programs to increase client satisfaction

• Implemented Clover IPOS in the UK across multiple devices and software packages

Russell has also held senior positions at First Data where he was VP, EMEA and APAC, Card Processing and Software Sales. Russell has also held a number of board positions including at European Merchant Services (a Dutch acquirer operating in multiple European Markets) and Trionis (an independent European ATM/POS switch).
