Managing Consultant, Payment Schemes
Prior to becoming an independent consultant Andrew worked at Mastercard Europe headquarters in Waterloo, Belgium for almost 25 years.
During his time at Mastercard, Andrew managed a team of 70 and was responsible for the production support of all Europay operational systems including authorisation, clearing, and settlement as well as the customer support helpdesk service.
Andrew then spent about 15 years as a Technology Account Manager, providing an operations and technology support and consultancy interface between Mastercard and several major UK customers, including RBS, WorldPay, and Barclays Bank, as well as to the whole UK Prepaid Issuing customer base.
Andrew left MasterCard in October 2015 since when he has worked as a consultant. He typically supports is Prepaid issuers and acquirers based in Europe and Latin America.
As a consultant Andrew uses his extensive knowledge of scheme systems and processes to support new and existing issuing and acquiring customers and processors in their interactions with the payment schemes. Using his deep technical systems knowledge and excellent understanding of customer operational challenges, he is able to translate scheme technical jargon and acronyms into a simple language which customers understand.
Andrew guides new and existing customers through their project implementations and provides support and advice on cost effective ways to manage their scheme operations.
Andrew’s advice has assisted many customers to benefit from significant reductions in their scheme costs.
